This stainless steel sculpture was commissioned for a private residence in Dallas, Texas. Completed in February 2002, recent enough that there are no pictures yet in its permanent outdoor location. It stands 7'0" high (214cm) on an additional low concrete cylinder that adds some visual weight to the base. You can get some idea of the scale from the studio shot on the left with the artist. A hanging sculpture suspended above a stairwell, Then What Is The Soul was commissioned by Advancial Corp. for their offices in Dallas, Texas. It is stainless steel, five feet high (152cm) and hangs from a single cable. ![]() Commissioned as a special award by Ford Motor Corporation, this sculpture is the award being presented to North America's top 110 dealerships by Ford Motor Credit for the 2001 Partners in Quality program. Receiving this award is the highest honor given by Ford to a dealership. For the award weekend, held at the Four Seasons Aviara Hotel in Carlsbad, California, a special video was shot in the artist's studio with him explaining the conceptual design and showing some of the steps involved in designing and creating this sculpture. The design is two distinct forms rising from the base, and is based on the simple theme of partnership. The actual works are bronze castings on a black granite base, 12" high. Cloud Rivulet - wall sculpture, completed July 2001 commissioned for a private collection, Dallas, Texas. Stainless steel, 48" wide x 27" high. |
![]() This was a special commission from a client in La Canada, California. A mission director at JPL, the client was drawn to the artist's abstract style. He asked the sculptor to design a work in two parts, that could be put together if desired to form a single sculpture. This was actually partially an anniversary gift to the man's girlfriend who was living in Europe at the time. He would keep one part and she the other until they would be able to be together. This was a very interesting and challenging idea. View a Quicktime 360° view - both pieces together 760 kB) Quicktime 360° view - part a only (650kB) Quicktime 360° view - part b only (650 kB) |
